I must also say that "MTV Unplugged" was an amazing album. It showcases her vocal range, and shows that she has such a beautiful and amazing voice. I just love this woman!

    Thumbs up

YAY FOR ALL THE SHAKIRA LOOOOVEEEE!!!! About time a thread like this was made

I've been a big fan since 98, I saw her in this interview just randomly and fell in love yeah she IS amazing, truly truly, you know she is just at the moment working to help out the people damaged by the last earthquake in Peru? There are many artists also helping out but she is there too is that awesome or what? She is also a genius, I mean she can't even read music yet look at all the music she makes! That's what I love about her, she's truly an artist cos she herself makes her own art, you know? That's rare to find now cos most singers just get other producers to do them for them but she is the real deal

    I.LOVE.HER

I have heard people saying she's become more commercial now, maybe that's true... her music has changed since she started working on the anglo world... but I don't know I mean to me it's simple, if the music is good then that's all she needs to do... whether it's commercial or not, I mean every artists has to make sure their music sells if they want to stay current right? So yeah I don't really have a problem with that as long as I still love her music

I'm in the Fresh Zone minority here, but...

She's as bad as Penelope Cruz's battle with english!

I love her. She is definitely at the top of my list.

    Britney > Madonna > Shakira > Gwen

    Those are my bitches.

Meh. I totally loved Laundry Service at the time - it was so fresh and different from everything else that I was listening to when it came out. There are some fantastic songs on there (my favourite is EASILY "Eyes Like Yours.") but I was not impressed with Oral Fixation Vol. 2 at all...it was just not very good, IMO. I think she is a great performer (2002 VMA's anyone?) and a gorgeous woman, but I wouldn't say she is a favourite of mine.

No offense, but that wasn't funny, and I really think her english isn't that bad at all. She has actually improved over the years. And to make fun of someone because they don't speak good English is rude.

I didn't find that funny at all. And to be honest, she might not have a good accent but she knows more English than the average American.
