    Thumbs up Shakira.

Who else loves this woman? I think she is truly one of the best pop stars in the world in every sense of the word. Her music might have gone downhill in her last album but I think what she wanted was to reach a more global audience and she did it. I hope for her next album she releases only a Spanish album. She's freaking amazing when she sings in Spanish. Today I've been listening to "How do you do" the entire day, I love how she questions God and his existence, and she makes questions that I would love to ask him if I had him in front of me, and how she makes him seem like just an average person that also commits mistakes and gets hungry. Definitely one of my favorite songs ever.

    Here is the song:
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=3DYzQ2aAddI

    ^EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO IT.

My favorite Shakira álbum is "¿Dónde Están los Ladrones?" I also love how humble she is, and her ability to speak so many languages. I don't care what anyone says, I think she's the greatest pop star of our generation, she's just wonderful! She can sing, dance, write, produce, she's just the total package.

    Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who have trespassed against us
Give us this day our daily bread
    Daily bread, daily bread

In Cello et In terra fiat Voluntas Tua Gloria Spiritui Sancto

    What language do you speak
    If you speak at all?
Are you some kind of freak
Who lives to raise the ones who fall?

Hey, would you tell me why
    The cat fights the dog?
Do you go to the Mosque
    Or the Synagogue?

And if our fates have all been wrapped around your finger
And if you wrote the script then why the troublemakers?

    How do you do?
How does it feel to be so high
    And are you happy?
    Do you ever cry?

    I sometimes cry

    You've made mistakes
Well that's OK 'cause we all have
    But if I forgive yours
    Will you forgive mine?

Hey, do you feel our pain
    And walk in our shoes?
    Have you ever felt starved
Or is your belly always full?

    How many people die
    And hurt in your name?
Hey, does that make you proud
Or does it bring you shame?

And if our fates have all been wrapped around your finger
And if you wrote the script then why the troublemakers?

    How do you do?
How does it feel to be so high
    And are you happy?
    Do you ever cry?

    I sometimes cry

    You've made mistakes
Well that's OK 'cause we all have
    But if I forgive yours
    Will you forgive mine?

    Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who have trespassed against us
    ... Someh Zoonoobe Allah ...
Give us this day our daily bread
    ... Ya Allah ...
    Daily bread
    ... Ya Allah ...
    Daily bread
    ... Ya Allah ...

    Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who have trespassed against us
    ... Someh Zonoobe Allah ...
    ... S'lach lanu ...
Give us this day our daily bread
    ... Mechilah ....
    Daily bread
    Daily bread
Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory
    Amen!

    How do you do?
How does it feel to be so high
    And are you happy?
    Do you ever cry?

    I sometimes cry

    You've made mistakes
Well that's OK 'cause we all have
    And if I forgive yours
    Will you forgive mine?

... Will you forgive mine? ...

    How do you do?
How does it feel to be so high
    And are you happy?
    Do you ever cry?

    I sometimes cry

    You've made mistakes
And that's OK 'cause we all have
But if I forgive yours, will you forgive mine
^Is like the English version of "El octavo día" but a bit more deeper.

I've been a fan since "Laundry Service" came out. I remember being very obsessed with that album, and getting it for Christmas, and listening to it nonstop. I think she's amazingly talented, beautiful, and a very gifted songwriter. Fijacion Oral Vol 1 is a masterpiece in my opinion, and the follow up is just as good. I think it is very underrated. She can dance like no other. The way she moves her hips. Many artists try to duplicate it, but they just can't pull it off. I can't wait till her next record comes out. Hopefully it's something new and fresh. I think her music is really cool and unique. She definitely has her own style. Did I mention she's a genius? She speaks over 5 languages, and she has an IQ of 120, which is insanely high! I've seen a lot of interviews with her, and she seems like a very down to earth person, and she's extremely passionate about her music which I respect. She likes to play a vital role in all of her music, that's why she produced FOV2. I love her so much! A lot of people detest her voice, but I love it. It's very unique, and different. This woman is the shit!

    ^WORD.

And she just went back to college to study Western Civilization, you would think that with all the money she has she wouldn't care about going back to college.

I love her. Seeing her live was one of the best experiences in the world.

That's another thing I forgot to mention about her. She's incredibly humble. There's not one arrogant or stuck up bone in her body. She's an inspiration. Some other songs of her's that I just love are "Inevitable", and "No". I don't speak Spanish at all, but her music moves me.

WOW "No" and "Inevitable" are just wonderfully written, when I heard "N" for the first ime I cried, the song is just so touching.

And if you don't know what she's singing about, here is the video with subtitles:

I think the person that translated didn't do a good job, is to literal, but you can get an idea what she's talking about.

My gosh those subtitles make that song even more meaningful and touching. I love the video, and the way Shakira sings it is so beautiful. You can tell she's putting her heart and soul into the song.

I loved the duet she did with Beyonce. The video was so sexy! I'm so glad she did "Hips Don't Lie", it really helped her album sales, and she desperately needed a hit, because "Don't Bother" flopped.

^oh yes in term of publicity her last singles were her best, but I think we all know she's capable of doing better things.

^ I agree, but I actually loved HDL, and Beautiful Liar. I know she was kind of selling out, but she needed some hits so I completely understand. I hope her next album is more upbeat, and less rock oriented than OFV2.
