I have to say i like the single cover a lot better, but the album cover is quite lovely. They both look so authentically 80's, and fit the style of "Rocket" so perfectly. Plus i nearly died when i saw the image of alison shooting light beams from her hands. BRILLIANT!
5. Shiny & Warm
6. I Wanna Life
7. Head First
8. Voice Thing
It was initially rumored to have 9 tracks, so i don't know where the 9th track is. Some of the titles are a bit odd, but they have been confirmed by reviewers. Its interesting to note that the song "Alive" was actually co-produced by Richard X, which is the first time the band have ever really brought in another producer.
I don't really like "Rocket" much right now, but I think it will grow on me!

I hope we get some b-sides this time around.
I can't even begin to describe how absolutely blown away I am by this album. Its too early to tell, but i think it might just be my favorite Goldfrapp album EVER.
The songs sounds so 80's, its like they traveled back in time to record the album! You can definitely hear their influences on a lot of the tracks (ABBA, Billy Joel, Olivia Newton John etc)
There were a lot of people (not here, but other places) saying that they were worrying they were re-tredding their steps and doing another "Supernature", but it really doesn't sound anything like "Supernature" at all, aside from "Shiny & Warm", which has a little bit of a "Satin Chic" thing going on. I think the most 'Goldfrapp' song on the whole album is "Hunt".
Form first listen, the singles should be "Rocket", "Alive", "Head First", and "I Wanna Life". Although I wouldn't be opposed to them "Dreaming" or "Believer" as well.

I need to download and listen! I really grew to love "Rocket". I've heard some other clips and I really liked what I heard.
While i was writing it i was thinking about how this is the best album i've heard since Dragonette's album. I guess i got the two amazing bands confused lol.
