I didn't get to see any of it! Bummed but looking forward to when I can watch it. Heard good things, saw Mario in a screencap on Facebook lol.
The show starts tonight! I'm just watching the documentary now. It's interesting seeing her talk about her previous work! "Ugly outfits" on her first tour, haha she's not wrong! The show looks really exciting, hope I can get to it somehow.
The final dress rehearsal of the show was last night, so there are pictures and videos slowly making their way onto the internet!
It looks like there are a few references to her past throughout the show, although they seem to be jumbled up with different songs. Toxic/VMA Oops skin toned outfit for Work Bitch, a "Blackout" brunette wig for Baby and Oops, a Jungle inspired Toxic? LoL it all seems a bit off in a way, but everything looks fantastic, and I see dancing!!! Real dancing!
No live vocals though, not even pre-recorded vocals. Not that I was expecting her to suddenly sing live after 15 years, but its just another thing that Larry & co. were bullshitting us about.
I was just wondering about the vocals. She said a while back that she'd be singing but I wasn't going to hold my breath. The dancing looks really good but it is pretty disappointing she's not even attempting to put some live singing in there. Maybe I'll just watch it on YouTube, lol.
I've been watching clips and looking at photos from the Vegas show all day! It looks great! I wouldn't say her dancing is back to the way to used to be, I mean the routines aren't as complex as they used to be (which is probably a good thing) but what IS back is her confidence. Her precision and conviction with the dance moves she is doing is he best its been in years. She doesn't look like the is just going through the motions anymore, she has her onstage attitude back, which is a very good thing.
This is the final setlist:
1. Work Bitch
5. Baby One More Time
6. Oops! I Did It Again
7. Me Against The Music
8. Gimme More / Break The Ice
9. Piece Of Me
10. Scream & Shout (Interlude)
13. Get Naked (Interlude)
14. I’m A Slave 4 U
16. Do Somethin’
18. I Wanna Go
22. (You Drive Me) Crazy
23. Till The World Ends
Still no live vocals. I feel like she could have at least attempted to sing live for Perfume and Lucky, which are just Britney standing or sitting on an empty stage, doing nothing else, but thats Britney for you!
I was away with family the past few days and haven't seen any videos yet! Can't wait to watch them. I have FINALLY been able to really listen to the album a lot (yay roadtrips!) and I actually really really really like a lot of it. The only song that I have yet to find any redeeming qualities in is "Tik Tik Boom". Everything else I LOVE, like, or at least think is decently okay. Except that song.
My jam of the day is "Brightest Morning Star". It's the cheestastic Britney pop that I love.
I will definitely be in any thread that emerges!
Yes, that sounds like fun!
