I have not seen any of the oscar movies this year, so i am just taking some wild guessed based on what i've heard/ people who i want to win.

I have to say that i am not particularly interested in most of them this time around. There were so many fantastic movies last year, and maybe there are some fantastic ones this year, but they just aren't exciting me like the movies of 2009.

Honestly, I feel like all the important ones have already been decided, except possibly best actress...and I'll be happy whether Meryl or Sandra win. Maybe a tie like at the Critic's Choice?

I would like to see Colin Firth win over Jeff Bridges (A Single Man was probably the most affecting movie I saw this year) but it's not going to happen this year.

I think Avatar will win best picture but I think Katherine is going to beat James for director, because they want this year to be the first woman to win and they LOVE that it's Cameron's ex-wife - that's just good TV.

Is it just me or is Ryan Seacrest super awkward on the red carpet tonight? Haha.

    Is anyone watching?

Maggie Gyllenhaal's dress is kind of gross, I think. I'm actually not loving too many of the fashions so far. I kind of really like Vera Farmiga's and Carey Mulligan's dresses. Ohh! I just saw Sandra's dress and I'm not too sure about it. She's gorgeous anyway, but it might be a little too metallic for me.

Though I think Carey looked FLAWLESS, I HATED her dress haha! I kinda loved J.Lo's, though <333

I'm utterly appalled at all the 'The Hurt Locker' ass-kissing. Whether they liked it or not, 'Best Picture' belonged to 'Avatar' hands freaking down. Its one of the biggest milestones in cinema that any of us have lived to see. They just wanted to grab that attention for. 'Best Director' going to a woman and then capitalizing on it with 'Best Picture'

AND I thought it was really rude of the director of 'Best Foreign Language Film' thanking the academy for not considering Na'vi a foreign language (I really didn't feel like he meant it comically, either).

Im SO glad 'Logorama' won Best Animated Short <3333 I thought it was FANTASTIC!

I'll do the tallying up of everyone's results in a while

So my choices totally failed. lol

I LOVE Sandra Bullock TO DEATH, but i really wanted Gabourey to win best actress.

I cannot believe how many awards "The Hurt Locker" won. I mean, i haven't seen it, so i can't really say it didn't deserve it or anything, but seriously? They were so obviously kissing its ass. It was like they were going out of their way not to award "Avatar".

I feel like, after there being so many amazing movies last year, they thought it would be a good idea to up the nominations to 10. Except that this year, there were not as many amazing movies, and so they were just like "Umm....shit we gotta pad this out".

AND I thought it was really rude of the director of 'Best Foreign Language Film' thanking the academy for not considering Na'vi a foreign language (I really didn't feel like he meant it comically, either).
I know right! I mean, he was acting as if Avatar was this powerhouse that had swept all the awards away from the more deserving little people. It only fucking won like best CGI, give it a break!

And was it just me, or did George Clooney look pissed off the whole night.
