^LOL at every word of that post. Finally there are 'good' movies coming out? The last two months has been good movies coming out non-stop (I don't see movies often and I've been to see about 10.) If "Dear John" is what you consider 'good' compared to (for example) Up In The Air, A Single Man, or Fantastic Mr. Fox - you might need to have your head examined.

Channing Tatum is gorgeous but he can't act, but I do love Amanda Seyfried. I'll probably go see this for laughs.

I am reading the book, and then seeing the movie. The book was a slow start, but it's picking up.

All I see when I look at her is "I'm a mouse duh", but I'm trying to look past it and I can't wait to see it! It looks like it's gonna be great!

And everyone I know who saw Up In The Air hated it

Haha well obviously it's a matter of taste, but I'm just saying that looking forward to Dear John more than any other movie that's come out recently is kind of offensive to some of the great films that have been released lately. Dear John is just another cheesy dramatic Nicholas Sparks book that they've turned into a movie for emotional teenage girls.

And Steph, I'd like to think that you know us pretty well...maybe you haven't been into the Up In The Air thread? To save you the trip, I copied all the comments from it for you!

Gretch - “I saw it a few days ago and LOVED ittttt!!!”

Tim – “Yes, great movie! And I looooved the ending -- it was so beautiful to me. I cried, haha.”

Dave – “Fucking loved it as well <33 I adored the ending, personally.”

Mario – “What an amazing movie!

Samio – “I love, love, loved the ending…it was so perfect”

Looks to me like some people you know liked it quite a bit.

I should have said everyone I know in *real life* **giggles**... just people at work and a few of my other friends I typically am the dork who doesn't like the movies that win all those awards... but maybe that one is th exception to the rule

I've been looking forward to Dear John for a long time, I think his books are amazing. And I think it's only fair, considering The Notebook is pretty flippin epic in the grand scheme of life

Yeah I hated all parts of The Notebook that Ryan Gosling wore a shirt.

Aww I'm glad to hear that Melissa! <3

Pretty much devastated that I'm not watching it this weekend. I'm a sucker for these sappy love stories!
