    Oily Skin??

Ughhh I'm so sick of my skin. Does anyone else have really oily skin and have a good facewash or something they could recommend?

I've never really had lots of zits on my face or anything, but I have soo many blackheads and just like, really big & clogged pores, especially on & around my nose. Nothing I've tried so far works... not generic acne washes, not blackhead scrubs, etc. Also those nose strips that you wet and stick on your nose and then they harden and you pull them off and they pull junk out of your pores... they only kind of clean some of my pores for just a little while obviously.

    So sick of it! Suggestions?

Yea, first of all you're gonna need to determine your skin type. I've got somewhat oily skin but its strictly just on my t-zone so I tend to use products meant for mixed skin. I tend to only use products based on Tea Tree Oil from The Body Shop because from my experience they work the best for me (I tried Clearasil once but that just left my face totally dried out, it would actually hurt to crack a smile! Others have told me similar things, so unless you've got some EXTREMELY oily skin, I'd stay well away!). Try out any of their facial washes/scrubs and then they have the small viles of tea tree oil by itself for the emergency cases that work charms, too <3

My skin is REALLY oily. I've tried a lot of things and nothing seems to help. My skin will be dried out and oily at the same time! I'm hoping I'll grow out of it.

It's nothing too special. I just use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash at the moment. I stopped bothering to spend a lot on other products. Sometimes I dab Clearsil stuff on zits if I get a breakout.

Yeah honestly it's mostly my T-zone that's oily too. I NEVER have anything on my cheeks and sometimes I'll get a few zits on my chin but it's not really OILY.

That's it? Do you moisturise after?

For oily skin, the best thing you can do is use a cleanser (such as a foaming facial wash), followed by a toner, then moisturise.
The toner removes all excess oil and you can see it on the cotton wool or w/e you use.

I use Clinique 3-step anti-blemish range, but it's quite expensive. So now I use it only in the mornings, and then use a blackhead scrub by garnier I think, in the evenings and moisturise.

Moisturise is the key to eliminating oil!

Yes I do moisturize but I think I need something better that isn't so thick.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm so clueless when it comes to skin care, I've never tried toner before.

But make sure that what you're moisturising with is oil-free (most are nowadays, but there's a few ones in the mix!) otherwise you're just aiding the problem haha!
