    White Teeth

So, I've just ordered some of these 'Crest White Strips' from online. People in the UK just really brush their teeth twice a day and that's it, as far as helping to 'whiten' teeth goes. What do you guys do?

i have never used whitening strips before! I just don't drink sodas (espically dark soda) they can stain your teeth and coffee as well ( love coffee here!) but I brush 2x a day and go to dentist regularly

I went to the dentist last week for the first time in over 5 years! She said I have good teeth and obviously have a pretty good diet and not too much sugar, just goes to show how much using a straw with fizzy drinks helps!

I just brush twice a day like you said. I did try flossing at one point but it didn't seem to do anything.

Oh, I of course floss and use mouthwash daily.
Daisy, 5 YEARS!? That's shocking. I go every 6 months. And flossing is essential! I always pluck out really skanky bits

My mum always said it's impossible to get on a dentist's patient list so I didn't even try, especially as I moved around so much the last few years! I don't know if she was right but back home it was certainly a waste of time trying. I only got one now cos I saw a poster saying they were taking on new patients.

    ^ I know it is hard :/
We managed to get on the list right away when we moved though. Although this new one isn't as nice as our old one. The rooms are really squashed, and they don't send you a reminder every 6 months. Pffft. Also, my lovely dentist lady is Portuguese and has trouble communicating in English!

I haven't used the Crest brand, but I've used the Listerine dissolvable white strips. I've also used the Aquafresh Whitening Trays. I smoked for 7 years (and also am a big coffee lover), but I quit 3 years ago. So I used them after I stopped smoking to get my teeth brighter.

I still drink coffee virtually every day, but I brush regularly, floss not so regularly (working on it), and use mouthwash daily. I always get compliments on how white my teeth are.

I haven't gone to the dentist in years....

    If there's ANY insurance I need, it's dental. Health insurance=don't use + free clinics. Vision=pretty cheap. Dental=RIDICULOUS...lol

I had a cleaning done probably 2 years ago...it cost me $200....for a cleaning and a basic "exam and x-rays". THEN! I had to pay another $300 for fillings. No wonder why people have no teeth now a days...

On that note, my friend used the whitening strips and stopped because when she went to the dentist, they told her they were weakening her teeth...and she has naturally white teeth anyways...so I don't know why she used them.

My teeth are HORRIBLE. I have gingervitis (I will admit), they're "out of shape" (I need braces...they're unaligned)...my teeth are just UGLY. I hate smiling.

Got my first set of strips on now.
So far so good I guess. I do wish they were slightly longer (especially the bottom strip), but hey ho.
Making me salivate like a bitch though.
