And I don't mean things like 'Omg I love the instrumental to Britney's 'Womanizer'!' haha. I mean actual instrumental songs, be they classical music, simple contemporary piano pieces, music scores etc.
My absolute FAVOURIRE instrumental (and possibly one of my favourite songs ever) is Yann Tiersen's 'Comptine D'un Autre Été: L'apres Midi' from the movie 'Amelié'. I feel like instrumentals just have to really convey emotions as well as possible- and this piece does so in such an exceptional way. Its seriously one of the most beautiful pieces!
Another one is Yiruma's 'River Flows In You'. I found this one when it was doing the rounds online as some 'Twilight' fans thought it would be Bella's Lullaby. Nonetheless, its such a peaceful and pretty piece <3
Another one, not as emotive as the two previous ones, that I love is John Powell's 'Assasin's Tango' from the 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' score. I mainly love it because of how perfectly it fit with the scene form the movie, building up that sexual tension and suspense in the tango itself and then just crashing down at the end with the string crescendo! Ooh I love it!
Thats about it from me for now How about you guys?
