I don't quite know what to think.
I thought it was quite predictable?

I thought it was AWFUL for a season-opener. They started with a drugged-up girl throwing herself to her death on a dance floor - pretty stunning, you'd think, and an inspired way to grab attention and kick things off. But in the end they made very little out of this drama/tragedy.

Usually the season openers are stunning, but this was almost boring in its use of conventional plot devices like the love-triangle problem and the unjust attack on Cook. And of course there were the usual caricature adults. Things livened up a little at the end with Naomi's admission and the reappearance of Effie.

However, despite the sub-prime start, I'm pretty sure it'll get back on track next week.

Also I generally find Thomas boring.
Tonight is Emily's episode so we should see lots of Naomi too.

I think Thomas as a character has a lot of potential but they just explore all the wrong sides of him :-/ Not to mention the fact that he always seems really depressed...which gets pretty annoying after a while haha!

Im looking forward to tonight's episode just because its Emily <3 Her and Naomi are by far my favourite characters from this generation!

That was the best episode in ALL of the second generation. THE END!

Why they didn't use it as the series opener and used that horrid Thomas episode...is beyond me!

Yes, the second episode was right up with the very best. I felt emotionally drained at the end! They took their time getting to the matter of the dead girl, but when they DID.....

Emily's emotional struggles seemed very real to me, and if I was her I'd be feeling very uneasy about Naomi. Just incidentally, I find Emily incredibly sexy so I automatically root for her!

I wasn't too in love with Cook's episode. I mean it was by no means a BAD episode...but in contrast to the Thomas episode I feel like they tried to have TOO much occur. His personal growth/transformation just seemed to fall into place too easily without any sort of effort or conscious change- and the whole jail thing seems a bit of a stretch!

I'm pretty excited for tomorrow's episode, though! I really don't feel like I know ANYTHING about Katie!

    "WHo the fuck are you?"
    "IM KATIE FUCKING FINCH!!"

    Spoiler:
But some serious WTF-age at them showing Katie and Thomas hooking up?!

And on a sidenote, MTV Latin America has started airing the first few seasons of the show and I was just SO happy...flicking through the channels....and then stumbling upon...

"And theeeen came the daaay Osama blew us awaaaay" It NEVER gets old! <3

Just saw Freddie and Effy's episode. OMG. Just a total descent into psychosis, psychotic depression, drugs, madness, alienation, incomprehension, hopelessness and futility . No cheap psychobabble solutions, no homespun philosophy making everything alright. Just horror on top of horror, dark, stark, cruel and scary.

I actually thought it was fucking ridiculous. The way they made Effie seem is as if this is something she's been dealing with for YEARS but there was no sign of this before- just her fear of being loved. Then BAM in one episode she turns into a total nutjob I feel like they're trying to pack far too much into each episode and its just overwhelming and doesn't allow anything other than the superficial exploration on their psyche.

...and Freddie is an annoying brat.

    I didn't like it either

I liked "katie fucking fitch" episode A LOT. But I think all the other episodes have sucked.
