    MP3 player suggestions?

Well I got the shock of the summer (so far anyway ) when my dad casually brought up the fact that I should look at the Best Buy website for a new mp3 player since mine doesn't hold that much (full with 1500 songs and a couple short videos) and the battery has been super screwy. AKA he is going to buy me a new one And I am SOOOOO excited because I use it a lot and was thinking I would have to use my own money or more likely wait for my birthday in November or Christmas to get one.

So basically I'm looking for suggestions. I doubt my dad is willing to pay very much, so I'm looking for something good, with lots of space, and not super expensive (DEFINITELY under $300, possibly even cheaper... haven't asked him what his price limits are yet).

I think my current one (a Sansa View, which I will nottttt be getting again... lots of issues as it got "older" and I've only had it for about a year and a half. Plus the reviews on the Best Buy site are pretty bad) is 8 GB, so I want at least a 16GB. Also, I really like that my Sansa View has a radio tuner that works pretty well. I don't know if that's a somewhat rare feature for an MP3 player but I would love one that has that. Video capabilities is a must. Finally... NO IPODS!!!

So far I'm thinking these are looking pretty good:

It doesn't have to come from Best Buy haha, so if anyone has other suggestions let me know.

    Thanks in advance!

    GET AN IPOD.

I have a classic, and when I say classic I mean CLASSIC, when they first added video to the ipod, but it's been such an amazing investment, I have a chord hooked to it where I can download any TV show or movie off my computer and watch them on my TV in my bedroom just from my ipod. I know you mainly want an mp3 player, but if you can spend 300 dollars, go for the gold!

Because, for the most part, they're more expensive than non-Apple mp3 players with the same capacities. And if I ever got an ipod I would want an iTouch and those are waaaay expensive haha. Also, out of all of my ipod-owning friends, I can honestly say that I do not have one friend that has never had to attempt to get an ipod repaired or replaced, had their itunes screw up, or had terrible times dealing with Apple. I have 3 friends that refuse to buy ipods anymore. Plus my dad isn't an Apple or ipod fan and he's the one buying it for me, so he would probably be hesitant to buy me one or would suggest another one anyway. If it were my own money I would consider it a little more.

I think my dad is really leaning towards this bad boy. It's 30GB, has video, FM tuner, etc. and will be $189.99... I think that sounds like a pretty good deal. The ipods for that price are all 16GB.

Odd. I've had my iPod for a year and a half and have not had a single problem with it. I've never had any major issues with Apple products.
